In a bid to revolutionize digital education in Kano State, the AGILE Project has commenced a 3-day interactive training for digital literacy teachers.

The program is designed to equip educators with the necessary skills to seamlessly integrate technology into their teaching practices.

The training, which brings together teachers from various schools, aims to address the challenges of digital education and remote learning.

In his opening remarks, the Kano AGILE Coordinator, Malam Mujtapa Aminu, emphasized the importance of the training, stating that it will enable teachers to assess the progress of digital literacy implementation.

He hinted that participants will identify barriers to remote learning adoption, and explore innovative solutions to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

Malam Mujtapa maintained that, through interactive sessions, group discussions, and hands-on activities, participants will engage in knowledge-sharing and problem-solving exercises to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom.

Some of the participants expressed enthusiasm about the training.

Malama Fauziyya Muhammad Sani from Mairo Tijjani Girls Science and Technical College commended the hands-on approach.

She urged AGILE to provide the necessary equipment and computers to enable teachers to put their newfound knowledge into practice.

Malam Sulaiman Magaji from Government Girls Arabic School Dambatta noted that the training will enrich their ICT knowledge, but highlighted the challenges they face due to a lack of equipment and computer teachers.

By empowering digital literacy teachers, AGILE is ensuring that students, especially girls, can continue learning regardless of physical or socioeconomic barriers.

At the end of the 3-day training, participants are expected to leave with improved skills, practical solutions, and a stronger support network to advance digital literacy in the State.
