The Kaduna State Government has inspected renovated facilities at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) temporary orientation camp as part of efforts to improve the welfare and living conditions of corps members serving in the State.

The inspection was conducted during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One corps members at the temporary orientation camp.

Governor Uba Sani, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Ms Gloria Ibrahim, said the renovations were aimed at providing a more conducive environment for corps members posted to Kaduna State.

He said the rehabilitation of the temporary camp would not affect the government’s plan to relocate the NYSC orientation camp to its permanent site.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Abubakar Bawa, commended the state government for the intervention and assured that the renovated facilities would be properly maintained.

The facilities renovated include administrative buildings, hostels, the sick bay, storage facilities, boreholes and overhead tanks, and mattresses for corps members among others.
