The member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zanna Zubairu, has expressed gratitude to God, his party, and constituents following his victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.

He stated this while briefing newsmen in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital, after emerging as the party’s candidate, Zubairu described his victory as a collective achievement, acknowledging the role of party stakeholders, Constituents, as well as the electorate who supported his ambition.

“I thank Almighty God for giving us life and the opportunity to participate in this process. I also appreciate our great party, the APC, for the confidence reposed in me, and our supporters who stood by us to ensure this victory,” he said.

Abdulmalik Zanna Bungudu said his experience in the National Assembly has strengthened his capacity, citing his record in legislative contributions.

The lawmaker also reacted to a report over N130 million donation raised by his supporters, describing it as overwhelming and unexpected.

Abdulmalik Zanna Bungudu further disclosed that the funds, initially meant for a personal gift, would instead be redirected for charitable purposes.

“I was surprised when I heard about the contribution. I have decided that the money will be used for Sadaqah Jariyah, so that everyone who contributed will benefit from the reward,” he explained.

Looking ahead to the general election, Zubairu called for unity among party members and supporters, including those who contested against him in the primaries.

“We need everyone’s support going forward. Elections are not a one-man affair. I appeal to all stakeholders to come together so that our party can succeed at all levels,” he said.

He further urged his constituents to continue praying for him and supporting his efforts, emphasizing that their backing remains crucial to achieving greater development in the constituency.
