Kaduna State Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Usman Shehu Bawa, popularly known as Shehu ABG, has congratulated teachers across Kaduna State and Nigeria at large, on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, describing them as indispensable pillars of nation-building and human development.

 

Shehu ABG, in a message marking the celebration, commended teachers for their dedication, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to shaping the lives of children and young people despite the numerous challenges confronting the education sector.

 

He described teachers as among the most essential instruments for building a prosperous society, noting that their contribution to the development of individuals and communities cannot be underestimated.

 

According to a statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity of the Shehu ABG Campaign Organisation, Yusuf Idris, the PDP governorship candidate recognised the enormous responsibilities shouldered by teachers and expressed appreciation for their service to Kaduna State and the nation as a whole.

 

The statement said Shehu ABG believes that no meaningful development can take place without a strong, motivated and well-equipped teaching workforce.

 

“Teachers are the foundation upon which the future of our children and the progress of our society are built. Their commitment, sacrifice and dedication to nation-building must never be taken for granted,” the statement quoted

Shehu ABG as saying.

 

The PDP candidate further assured teachers that if elected governor of Kaduna State in 2027, his administration would place teachers’ welfare, professional development and capacity building among its major priorities.

 

He pledged to work towards improving the working conditions of teachers, strengthening their professional capacity and creating an environment where they can perform their duties effectively and with dignity.

 

Shehu ABG also promised to give education a central place in his administration, with particular emphasis on improving learning infrastructure, providing conducive teaching and learning environments, and addressing some of the challenges affecting the quality of education across the state.

 

He stressed that investing in education is an investment in the future of Kaduna State, adding that his administration would seek to build a sustainable education system capable of equipping children and young people with the knowledge, skills and values required to compete in a rapidly changing world.

 

The statement further called on teachers to remain committed to their noble profession and continue serving as role models to the younger generation.

 

The governorship candidate extended his warm congratulations to all teachers in Kaduna State and Nigeria, wishing them greater recognition, improved welfare and renewed strength in their service to humanity.

 

He reaffirmed his commitment to building a Kaduna State where education is prioritised, teachers are valued, and every child has access to quality learning opportunities.
