Jigawa State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Affairs has reminded the Roni Local Government Council of the need to construct two blocks of classrooms in nomadic schools, aimed at improving the living conditions of the Fulani community.

The Chairman of the committee who is the member representing Gwiwa Constituency, Alhaji Aminu Zakari, stated this at the end of a two day working visit in Roni local government council.

He explained that the provision for the construction of the classrooms in Nomadic schools was contained in the 2025 budgets of all local government councils.

He said hence forth all Vice Chairmen will serve as supervisory councillors heading water and sanitation departments of their respective local government councils.

Alhaji Aminu Zakari expressed satisfaction with adherence to administrative communication process between the executive and legislative council citing an example where Roni legislative council requested for list of capital projects in writing while the executive responded promptly.

Presenting the report of the sub-committee assigned to inspect capital projects executed by the Roni local government council from October 2024 to date, member representing Guri constituency, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi Tura Musari said the sub-committee has inspected the ongoing general renovation of six inherited lock up shops in Kazaure town where he praised the Chairman of the local council as the project would generate more revenue when completed.
