Residents of Kwara state have been urged to support government policies and programmes, aimed at maintaining good environmental hygiene, public health, as well as community development.
The General Manager of the Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA), Jide Aina, made the call when Gbenga Adeleke Foundation donated working tools to the agency in Ilorin,Kwara state.
He emphasized that sustainable environmental management requires collaborative efforts between the government and private sector stakeholders, saying that such support encourages greater efficiency and improved service delivery.
Aina commended the commitment of the foundation to environmental sustainability and support towards the sanitation efforts of the State government.
He described the gesture as timely and impactful, noting that the reflective jackets would greatly improve the visibility and protection of environmental officers while carrying out their duties.
“This donation clearly demonstrates the Foundation’s sense of responsibility and dedication to supporting government initiatives”, he described environmental sanitation as a collective duty strengthened by such partnerships.Aina said.
For his part , the donor, Gbenga Adeleke, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare.
He stated that the donation aligns with the Foundation’s broader vision of promoting a cleaner, safer, and healthier society.
Adeleke reiterated that environmental protection is a shared responsibility and assured that the Foundation would continue to support initiatives that enhance public safety, sanitation, and community well-being.
