President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerian governors and political leaders to deepen unity, discipline and grassroots development, expressing confidence that the country is steadily emerging from a period of uncertainty.

The President made the appeal at the State House, Abuja, during the Ramadan fast-breaking with members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, where he thanked God for witnessing another Ramadan coinciding with the Christian Lenten season.

He described the rare convergence as a powerful reminder of faith, sacrifice and love for humanity, while commending governors for their commitment to duty and humanitarian initiatives, including the Ramadan outreach programmes of Babagana Zulum.

Tinubu urged state leaders to further prioritise youth inclusion and expand development to the grassroots, assuring Nigerians that ongoing reforms would yield greater dividends.

Speaking on behalf of the governors, Hope Uzodimma praised the President for fostering stronger collaboration between the Federal Government and subnational authorities.

He said the simultaneous observance of Ramadan and Lent underscores the imperative of national unity beyond religious and ethnic differences.
