Several persons were injured and property destroyed following a clash between youths of Mujulu village in Mubi North local government area over the election of a new village Head.


The Spokes person of the Adamawa state Police command, Sulaiman Yahaya Ngroje confirmed the incident during an interview with Newsmen in Yola.


According to him, the incident occurred between the youths of Mujulu village in Mubi North local government area following the election of a new village Head, that resulted to exchanged of fire, which caused grievous hurts to many people.


Ngroje further explained that, the Commissioner of police Sikiru Akande has already ordered for immediate investigation into the matter aimed at ensuring peace and justice in the state.


He also said, the commissioner of police has warmed that, those taking laws into their hands would no longer be tolerated .


The commissioner further assured that, the command’s operational assets will be deployed to detect and arrest individuals or groups found disrupting the peace of the public, to face the full wrath of the law.


The commissioner tasked all the Divisional police officers, Operational commanders and their supervisory Area commanders to ensure that, the already existing peace enjoyed in the state is sustained.
