Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has assured of his rediness to approach the presidency to request for the rehabilitation of Minna Kontagora Federal road to ease the sufferings of motorists flying the road.

He gave the assurance when he paid homage to the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora Alh Muhammadu Barau Muazu the second in his palace.

Alh Abubakar Sani Bello further explained that he will write to President Muhammadu Buhari and personally follow up to ensure that the road is rehabilitated while expressing confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari will honour his request.

On security challenges bedevilling Kontagora emirate and some other local government councils in Niger state he said workeable and effective strategies are being worked out towards bringing an end to the problem once and for all.

In his remarks the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora Alh Muhammadu Barau Muazu the second thanked Governor Abubakar Sani Bello for the visit and also appreciated him for the opportunity to serve as Amirul hajj for this years hajj in Saudi Arabia.

He also appealed to security agencies in Niger state to redouble efforts in bringing an end to the activities of terrorists and their collaborators in Niger state and Nigeria.
