The Newly appointed Senate Minority Leader, Philip Aduda says he is optimistic that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senate Caucus will form the majority in the Senate with the gale of defection by All Progressives Congress (APC) senators.

While speaking with newsmen in Abuja,  Aduda said that with the number of defections in the National Assembly, the party would ensure that it works towards becoming the majority in the Senate.

He noted that as the new minority leader, definitely there would be challenges but those challenges would be surmounted.

There are a lot of challenges as 2023 approaches; we will manage them. This is the season you have aggrieved members from all sides, various defections by those who are aggrieved and those who got their parties’ tickets.

I can assure you we will ensure we give meaningful leadership to the minority in the Senate,” he said.
