Inadequate funds, shortage of foods and medication are said tọ have weakened the operational capabilities of bandits camp operating in some communities in Niger and Zamfara states.
This is coupled with a strange disease that have hit some of their camps in the two affected states.

Imvestigation conducted however revealed that the internal pressure had left both the victims in captivity and bandits as well in dis array, trying to remedy the situation to avoid what could be described as a collateral damage.
The problem was madẹ known through ọne of the victim that had escaped from a bandits camp in Niger state, that broke the news of challenges they have encountered following outbreak of the disease and other problems.
The crisis has nọ doubt given the security agencies the leverage to launch some counter attacks in the bandits camp, through reports of casualties is still sketchy at the time of filing in this report
