Niger state Government says the fight against insecurity across the twenty five Local Government Areas is a battle that must be won at all cost.

To this end, the State Government is now adopting a forward ever backward never strategy in its genuine efforts to secure the lives and properties of Niger lites to enable them sleep comfortable with their two eyes closed.

State Commissioner Ministry of Homeland Security, Brigadier General Mohammad Bello Abdullahi stated this while addressing Newsmen at the pre Media Security Summit engagement in Minna.

General Mohammad Bello Abdullahi however  explained that Niger state Government will not rest on its oars in the fight against insecurity and called for collective effort to achieve the desired objective.

According to him the first ever Niger State Peace and Security Summit under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umar Bago is aimed at engaging critical stakeholders in the security architecture at Local State and Federal levels to profer workable solution to security challenges within Niger state.

General Bello Abdullahi who described the Media as a critical stakeholders in the fight against insecurity however maintained that collective effort by all and sundry is required to succeed.

In his remarks Chairman Niger state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Comrade Abu Nmodu maintained that patronizing the real Journalists by government officials instead of quacks would go along way in getting the desired results for the State Government and a win win situation for all.

Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor Bologi Ibrahim represented by Coordinator to the Governor on Press Affairs Hamza Mohammed called for synergy to move the state forward.

The first ever Niger State Peace and Security Summit which comes up tomorrow had its theme Collaborative Approaches to Security and Peace Building with a view to Safeguarding Niger state.
