The sultan of Sokoto Alh.Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has directed mislims to look for Rajab crescent 1442 from tomorrow friday.
A statement signed by chairman advisory committee on religious affairs at the sultanate council, Professor Sambo Wali Junaid said friday the twelfth of february 2021 would be equivalent to twenty ninth of Jimada thaani 1442 AH and shall therefore be the day to look out for Rajab crescent.
The statement further appealed that sighting of the new moon should be reported to the nearest village or district head for onward communication to the sultanate council in Sokoto.
