Kwara state police Command has warned that it will arrest and prosecute anyone cought violating COVID-19 safety guidelines in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by the spokesman of the command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi on behalf of the state Commisssioner of police , Kayode Egbetokun in Ilorin.

The statement says the warning became necessary following the recent alarming increase in the number new cases.

The statement advised the residents of the state to ensure strict compliance with COVID-19 guidelines as issued by the National Center for Disease Control.

The statement also urged members of the public to report any suspicious movement in their area to the police for prompt action.
