Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state has called on Muslims in the country to use the Sallah Celebration period to pray fervently for the return of peace in the country.

The Governor made the call in his Sallah message to the people of Sokoto state

He regretted that the security situation was fast changing the Socio- security and economic development of the country stressing that many families, relatives, friends, neighbours are in anguish as a result of being bereaved, wounded, kidnapped or displaced

Tambuwal who expressed his gratitude to Allah for His guidance and protection, said the state government was committed to working with the security agencies in the state in a bit to ending security challenges that had shortchanged the development of the country.

The Governor reminded Nigerians of the upcoming 2023 elections and urged them to ensure that they obtained their Voters Card to enable them choose leaders of their choice, who could salvage the country from problems militating against its progress and development.

According to him, his administration had positioned the state to become economically viable for sustainable development.

The Governor said the state government had attracted the establishment of two fertilizer companies, repositioned the health sector and provided a state of the art Diagnostic Centre which he said was the only one of its kind in the entire Northwest as well as the University of Education that would cater for both theoretical and technical knowledge of students.
