The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya fielding questions from newsmen in Zamfara State

Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya says the Troops will defeat bandits and other criminals in Zamfara and other parts of the country.

The COAS shortly after addressing troops of One Brigade headquarters and “Operation Hadarin Daji” informed journalists that, he was in Zamfara for operational visit to interact with officers and men, appreciate and encourage them.

He said Nigerian Army and indeed Military were doing their best and the result is showing as the synergy between the security agencies was yielding positive result.

Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya therefore enjoined the general public to support the security agencies and other stakeholders by giving relevant information about criminals with a view to eliminating them.

The COAS who was received by the Commander of the One Brigade, Brigadier General Isiaka Olatunji said, despite some obstacles, the troops were getting over them.

The Chief of Army while in Gusau, held separate closed doors meeting with officers and men of the One bridge, Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji and later with the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Muhammad Matawalle at his personal Residence in Gusau.
