The Vice Chancellor Federal University of Technology Minna Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, has said that the institution is ready to partner with any private sector organisation willing to invest its resources for the development of the university to enhance it’s speedy development.
This according to the Vice Chancellor was in line with the global best practices.
Prof Faruk Adamu Kuta, stated this at the commissioning of Alewa canteen by the Shelter Suites and Hotels Ltd in conjunction with Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger state held at the Gidan kwano campus.
He however expressed satisfaction that the development has come to the permanent site of FUT Minna, stressing that this is a project they have been yawning for in view of its importance to the actualisation of their dreams, of enhancing and improving the welfare of students.
The Vice Chancellor who commended the hospitality company for rendering greater service to the FUT Minna would wants other to emulate such gesture for the good of all.
He said they will gladly support any investment on food and that which involved the provision of shelter, accommodation to ensure it’s availability.
Managing Director Shelter Suites and Hotel Ltd, Maryam Aliyu explained that the student community need to have a place where they can get high quality food without necessarily going out of the campus to stress themselves of probably risk their lives.
Hajiya Maryam Aliyu who said she has been in hospitality business since two thousand and nine however assured of their readiness to serve the students better and at an affordable price even though the prices of food stuff had risen a bit, to make life better for them.
Former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada who was part of the entourage, commended the initiative which he said would go a long way in reducing the current hardship faced by Nigerians especially the lecturers and students in particular and called for more to succeed.
There were some goodwill messages from the Niger state Government.
