President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the extension of the tenure of the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap, until December 31, 2026.

A statement by the special adviser to the President on Media and publicity, Bayo Onanuga said Mrs. Nandap, who joined the Nigeria Immigration Service on October 9, 1989, was initially appointed as Comptroller-General on March 1, 2024, with her tenure set to expire on August 31, 2025. However, in recognition of her leadership and contributions to the service, President Tinubu has granted an extension.

Under her leadership, the NIS has recorded significant progress in border management, immigration process modernization, and national security enhancements.

The President commended her dedication and urged her to continue advancing the Service’s strategic objectives in line with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

President Tinubu also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the Nigeria Immigration Service, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity while ensuring safe, legal, and orderly migration.
