President Bola Tinubu has approved the exemption of the Boards of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) from the recent decision to dissolve Boards of Agencies and Parastatals.

This is contained in a statement on Tuesday by the Director Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey.

President Bola Tinubu had on Monday approved the immediate dissolution of the Governing Boards of all Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions, and Government-Owned Companies.

He directed the affected MDAs to refer matters requiring the attention of their Boards to the President, through the Permanent Secretaries of their Ministries and Offices pending the constitution of a new board.

The Permanent Secretaries were also directed to route such correspondences to the President through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The directive took effect from Friday June 16, 2023.
