At least 100 Youths have benefitted one million naira grant each from Kwara state government to support their businesses.

Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries at a programme to commemorate International Youth Day 2022 ,in Ilorin, governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazq said the idea is to improve their work and expand their business.

He advised the youths to take the programme seriously and invest the fund judiciously.

According to him the youths who are the future leaders should at all times take advantage of initiatives put in place in their favour to plan .

AbdulRazq said his administration has a passion for the youths, adding that such was what informed the decision to appoint many of them into position of authority.

He appealed to the youths to shun all acts that are capable of truncating the realization of their dreams.

AbdulRazq assured the readiness of his administration to continue to support youth oriented programmes that are geared toward better development of the state.

Earlier in his address of welcome ,the Acting Genaral Manager of Kwara state Social Investment Programme, Abdulquawiy Olododo said the major beneficiaries of the grant are youths and women.

He urged them to ensure they invest the money into their businesses to change their lives for better.

The theme of the International Youths Day ,2022 celebrations is “Intergenerational Solidarity :Creating A World For All Ages.
