Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State has attributed the successes recorded by his administration within the last three years to the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who through his Renewed Hope Agenda provided enough resources to sub nationals to provide the much needed democratic dividend to its people.

He stated this while commissioning multi billion naira state of the arts facilities at the IBB Specialist Hospital Minna.

Mohammed Umar Bago explained that in Niger State they will continue to appreciate the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu which has rekindled their vision for a New Niger so that people of Niger state will continue to witness unprecedented breakthrough interms of projects execution and overall development of the state.

He however said following the signing of agreement with Russian Hospital and Bank, his administration plans to deploy two hundred and fifty tele medicine machines across the twenty five Local Government Councils to reduce the burden of travelling from rural areas to city centres for medication.

Mohammed Umar Bago further said they have also signed an agreements with the Arab Contractor Hospital in Egypt where before you go on medical tourism, you will be referred to the IBB Hospital Minna for the first level diagnostic aspect, in which they will be receiving twenty to fifty doctors from Egypt.

On Primary Healthcare, he said his administration will continue to prioritise Health, as they have already completed twenty type two model going for another one hundred and ten, stressing that they have added the number of workforce to one thousand five hundred Health workers for effective service delivery.

In his remarks State Commissioner of Health, DR Murtala Muhammad Bagana said from 2024 to dare over two thousand five hundred personnel have been added to the workforce, the largest, healthcare recruitment in the fifty years history of Niger State, and described the facility as special, because it can be relocated anywhere.

Also speaking, Chief Medical Director, IBB Specialist Hospital Dr Bala Waziri thanked Governor Umar Bago for restoring the lost glory of Health sector in Niger state and assured HIM of judicious utilisation of the Items.
