A student of Plateau State Polytechnic Jos has died from gun shot wound he sustained from a stray bullet during yesterday’s protest at the Jos campus of the Polytechnic.

A statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication Dan Manjang condenmed the development describing it as very sad.

He noted that Government has directed an immediate and thorough investigation into the circumstances leading to the death.

While commiserating with the family of the deceased student, Manjang noted that Government will not spare anyone found culpable in the death of the Student, stressing it’s determination to ensure that Justice is done.

Meanwhile the Deputy Governor of the state Professor Sonni Tyoden has directed a Government delegation to visit the family of the deceased and sympathize with them over the sad situation.
