Kaduna State Government has approved Sunday 8th and Monday 9th November, 2020, as resumption dates for all primary school pupils, Senior Secondary School one students, JSSI boarding and day schools students respectively.

In a statement by the State Commissioner for Education, Dr Shehu Usman says the State Ministry of Education has directed all Principals and Head Teachers to make arrangements to receive students.

According to the statement, higher Institutions are to also resume with effect from Monday the 2nd of November 2020.

It explains that, administrators of public and private schools must continue complying with all COVID-19 Protocols which include daily temperature checks; compulsory wearing of facemasks; provision of hand washing facilities, use of hand sanitizer for teachers and observance of all COVID-19 guidelines as stated by NCDC and the State COVID-19 Taskforce.

It also said, pupils in primary six of both public and private schools, that the Placement/Selection Examinations for the 2020/2021 Academic Session into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1), boarding and day schools, is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 7th November 2020, by the Ministry of Education and Schools Quality Assurance Authority.

According to the Statement, Candidates are expected to present a passport photograph and their birth certificates, they should also to come along with a pencil and an eraser to the examination venues and wear facemask.
