Zamfara State Government is training 70 personnel from different ministries, departments and agencies on gender based violence and grievance mechanisms on how to resolve them.

The National Coordinator of NG-Cares program, Abdulkareem Obaje stated this while briefing newsmen at the venue of the capacity building workshop in Kaduna.

Abdulkareem Obaje said the training will avail them the opportunity to resolve issues after implementation of policies that directly affect the people.

According to him, NG-CARES is an initiative of the federal government supported by the world bank with a fund of 270 million dollars, impacting on over 70 million direct beneficiaries.

The National Coordinator of NG-Cares explained that Zamfara state is one of the best performing states of the program that impacted on the poor and vulnerable through community driven development principles.

In a remark, the Permanent Secretary, Zamfara state ministry of budget and planning, Alhaji Sani Abubakar Bukuyum noted that the training will assist the people of the state to alleviate poverty and assist in curbing security challenges.

 

 

Alhaji Sani Abubakar Bukuyum maintained that  the establishment of the State Security Trust Fund by the present administration, the people now feel the presence of government in resolving security challenges.

While commending Governor Dauda Lawal for the various people oriented initiatives, the Permanent Secretary called on the participants to ensure they learn from the workshop in a bid to assist the state government to better serve it’s people.
