Former commissioner for Information in Kwara state, Alhaji Abdulrahim Adisa, is dead.

He died in the early hours of Thursday at the age of 91.

A statement by the secretary of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Olayinka Alaya, said the Janaza prayer for the late media personality took take place at 10:00 am at the Muslim Cemetery, Osere, Ilorin, the state capital.

Late Alhaji Adisa served as the General Manager of the state government owned Herald Newspapers, Commissioner for Information and Communication, and Chairman of Moro Local Government Council of the state.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq,in a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Rafiu Ajakaye, described late Alhaji Adisa as a veteran in the media industry  where he made huge contributions, especially as a former staff of  News Agency of Nigeria .

Governor Abdulrazaq commiserated with the media community in the state, and especially the Herald, and his family.

He prayed Allah to admit Alhaji Adisa to Al-jannah Firdaus.
