President Muhammadu Buhari has been commended for signing the Not Too Young To Run Act, aimed at encouraging youth participation in politics.

North-West zonal youth caretaker leader of the All Progressives Congress-APC, Abubakar Sa’adu Fakai made the commendation at a sensitization and capacity building for the state, deputy and senatorial youth leaders in Kaduna.

Abubakar Sa’adu Fakai explained that the President signed the bill into law due to his firm belief in young people to transform the country and bring about the needed innovations and ideas for national development.

He noted that the sensitization and capacity building was aimed at calling on all young people to join forces and come together towards laying the foundation necessary for youths to be identified and add voices and unlock their hidden potentials.

The zonal youth caretaker leader called on youths to ensure that they obtain their voters card, to enable them participate actively in the democratic process.
