Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, NCAT, Zaria has certified 52 persons as licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.

The Rector of the College, Alkali Mahmud Modibbo presented the certificate of graduation to the Engineers at the college hall in Zaria.

He said the Engineers had undergone 120 week-long training in the college where they were exposed to rigorous academic training before sending them out to various Airlines for their internship.

Alkali Modibbo confirmed that “base on the quality and standard training acquired by the Engineers in the college, I do not hesitate to recommend them to any airline operators for their services. “

He said the course of Ap-31, Ap-32 and Ap-33 Engineers had to stay a little longer due to Covid-19 pandemic from the 15th January, 2018 to date.

The Rector while congratulating the licensed Engineers, urged them to be good ambassador of the college wherever they find themselves.

Earlier, in a press briefing, the Rector has noted that the demolishing of structures carried out recently at the neighbouring community of Graceland is “to save lives of residents in the area.

” Apart from reclaiming the land which has been illegally trespassed, the action would also save lives of the residents.”

According to him, the affected land is always expose to risk as an aircraft may crash land on their houses.

Modibbo who applauded the effort of both kaduna state government and KASUPDA in recovering the encroached land, pledged to use it in expanding the run away of the training college.

He expressed that the recent recognition of the institution by the International Civil Aviation Organization, ICAO as Regional centre of Excellence would allow them to expand their perimeter to engage in both training and commercial flight
