Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Katsina State have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umaru Radda as the party’s flag bearers for the 2027 presidential and governorship elections.
Announcing their position at a grand rally held at Muhammadu Dikko stadium in Katsina, Chairman of the APC stakeholders in the state, Senator Ibrahim Idah, said the party took the decision in view of the outstanding performance of the two leaders in fulfilling the campaign promises they made to the electorate prior to the 2023 general elections.

Senator Idah said the endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Radda was a collective decision taken by the stakeholders considering the level of promise shown by the two leaders.
“Good leaders are required to be courageous, visionary and emphatic, and these two leaders have consistently embodied these qualities. They have inspired, motivated and served the people with sincerity and integrity, demonstrating remarkable leadership abilities despite daunting challenges.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown strong inclusive leadership skills, navigating Nigeria through complex challenges and recording tremendous successes. His commitment to National development is evident and unsurpassed.
“Governor Dikko Umar Radda came on board amidst serious security challenges but he had the courage to surmount these challenges with innovative and bold steps that have restored relative peace to the state. We believe that another four-year term will enable him to consolidate on this and many other achievements.

“We therefore endorse these leaders because they have demonstrated accountability, transparency and a deep understanding of their people’s needs. We call on the people of Katsina State and indeed all Nigerians to rally behind these visionary leaders who have shown that they can lead and unify the people with sincerity, courage and conviction”, Senator Idah said.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and himself, Governor Radda thanked the APC stakeholders for finding them worthy of another term in office, based on their performance in the current term.
Radda who highlighted the long-standing political relationship between Katsina State and the Southwest political bloc, said the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu by APC stakeholders in Katsina State is a payback for the support the President has accorded his predecessor, late former President Muhammadu Buhari who hailed from the state.
In his remarks, the APC National Chairman, Mr. Nentawe Yilwatda, expressed confidence that the party will continue to enjoy massive support in subsequent elections as it has delivered on the campaign promises it made to Nigerians prior to the 2023 general elections.
Meanwhile, several APC Suport groups at the rally also threw their weight behind the APC stakeholders’ endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Radda as their sole candidates for the 2027 presidential and governorship elections.
The Director Media and Publicity of one of the groups, Tinubu/Dikko Assured 2027, Comrade Hamza Saulawa who addressed newsmen at the sidelines of the endorsement rally, said the group was convinced of the capacity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Radda to transform the Nigerian and Katsina State economy if given a chance to serve for a second term.
Saulawa commended the infrastructure, youth empowerment and economic development initiatives being implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and the Building Your Future agenda of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda.
“TDA is also complementing these efforts, our National Coordinator, Malam Umar Ahmad-Zayyad, recently empowered 1,040 enterpreneurs as our own way of supporting the development efforts by APC in Katsina and at national level”, he said.
The APC stakeholders at the endorsement rally include all federal and state lawmakers, federal and state government appointees, party executives at states and local government levels, local government chairman and RT elders from the 34 local government areas of the State.
