The Chief of Staff to Sokoto State Government, Alhaji Aminu Dikko Tambuwal, has launched a special outreach program aimed at providing relief and support to families in his community ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

Alhaji Aminu Dikko Tambuwal said the Ramadan outreach comes amid heightened public concern over food security and Poverty levels citing that such initiatives will strengthen brotherhood and community development in the area.

He explained that the distribution centres were located at the wards level across the Tambuwal local government of the state in a bid to ensuring that the distribution reach the target beneficiaries.

Dikko said the outreach reflects the spirit of Ramadan sharing, compassion, and uplifting grassroots structures.

He said hundreds of bags of rice were distributed with a cash backing to households in the area to support members of the community in preparation for the Ramadan and Eid celebrations.

Community leaders praised the initiative, noting that such efforts strengthen unity and ease economic hardship in the area.

While appreciating the gesture, former Tambuwal Local Government Chairman, Hon. Mai Akwai Salah said the interventions reflect a national trend where political actors step in to provide welfare in the absence of robust social safety nets.
