Jigawa State government has reiterated its unwavering commitment to empowering women towards self reliance and economic independence.

The State Commissioner for women affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab gave the assurance during the opening ceremony of a one day capacity building workshop held in Hadejia.

She explained that, the training organized by the ministry of Women affairs in collaboration with nigerian small scale industrialists commenced with 200 women selected with 25 participants drawn from each local government area of the Emirate.

Hadiza Abdulwahab who was represented by Director women affairs, Dr Aisha Abubakar said the primary aim of the training is to equip grassroots women entrepreneurs with essential business skills that will enable them to become more self reliant and contribute meaningfully to their local economies.

In her remark Special Assistance to Governor Namadi on entrepreneurship,Hajia Fatima Kaila Nini urged participants to take full advantage of the opportunity and ensure that the knowledge gained is shared with other women in their communities.
