Over seventy youths in Kwara state have been trained in digital skill and drone piloting to improve their means of livelihood.
Speaking on the theme “How to Use the Media Responsibly ” at a digital media skills training organised by 132 Media Academy at the Kwara State Library Ilorin, the Chairman Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Abdulateef Ahmed urged the trainees to use the digital skills learnt in a manner that it will not endanger national interest.
Comrade Abdulateef advised them to used the skills to correct the ills created by those who are not professionals
in the society.
He also urged the participants to impart the knowledge learnt on others to enable the dissemination of information better.

In a presentation, the General Manager Kwara state Broadcasting Corporation, Radio Kwara Ilorin, Mr Kayode Aremu represented by Alhaji Sikiru Azeez said the training will help reduce youths restiveness and provide employment.
He advised the youths and other participants to take the training seriously and use it for self development.
In his remarks, Mr Oludele Ayobami
said that having the skills will enable the trainees light up their world and make the required impacts.
Abayomi advised them to be careful with the kind of content being posted to keep their reputation.
Earlier in his address , the Chief Executive officer of 132 media Academy, Mr. Tijani Ajara said the aim of the training is to build the youth and give back to the society.

He said the academy has trained over 500 youth for free within and outside the state, adding that the initiative will be a yearly tradition to make life better for the citizenry.
Ajara advised the trainees to used the skills learnt to promote peace and development in the country.
Ajara maintained that there is about 20 trillion dollars worth of market in digital skills which are waiting for interested content creators to explore.
The training impacted on the youths included camera operation, camera piloting, lighting composition, sound engineering and video editing among others.
