The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Benjamin Kalu, has called on Muslims to embrace the teachings of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, whose lifestyle provides a profound example of moral excellence, compassion, and leadership that transcends religious boundaries.
Mr Benjamin Kalu, made the call in a statement to mark this year’s Sallah celebration, by his Chief Press Secretary Mr Levinus Nwabughiogu, and made available to newsmen in Abuja.
Deputy Speaker also urged Nigerians to to cultivate virtuous qualities and seek to build a more just and compassionate society where there will be no discriminations irrespective of religious and ethnic backgrounds.
He said Federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was working assiduously to better the lot of the citizenry through the Renewed Hope agenda while calling for persistent prayers for leaders at all levels of government.
While wishing all Muslims happy celebrations, the Deputy Speaker also appealed to them to share the times with the underserved in the society in the spirit of love and sacrifice.
