The Kebbi State Police Command has ordered Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to deploy both visible and undercover security measures across the state.

The initiative is aimed at protecting the lives and properties of the residents and ensure sufficient security at all worship and recreational centers.

This is contained in a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Abubakar and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.

It explains that the Command wished all Muslim faithful a blissful Eid-El-Kabir celebration and urged the good people of the state to use this period for sober reflection and to offer prayers for the peace and progress of the state and the nation at large.

The Command however, called on religious leaders, worshippers and residents of the State to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in the state, as adequate security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free celebrations in the state.

The statement, warned trouble makers with the evil intentions to disturb the celebrations to stay away from the state or face the full wrath of the law.
