A former Special Assistant on Digital Communications to late President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has described the late leader as a father figure whose guidance and legacy will continue to inspire him and many others.
Speaking six months after President Buhari’s passing, Bashir Ahmad said the nation and those who knew him personally will mourn him forever.
“Baba was not only a leader but a father who provided platforms for people to contribute to the development of this country,” he said.
Bashir Ahmad added that he continues to draw guidance from Buhari’s values and leadership principles in both his personal and professional life.
He also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the late president and for the well-being of his family.
On politics, Bashir Ahmad reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying he recently renewed his membership card in Kano State and remains an active and dedicated member of the party.
He emphasized that late Former President Muhammad Buhari had always advised loyalty and total commitment to one’s political party, a principle he continues to follow.
Regarding the political climate in Kano State, he noted that there is no cause for alarm, describing recent developments as part of a healthy democratic process.
He praised the ongoing reforms of the current administration, of President Bola Tinubu stressing that while economic reforms may take time to show results, they are essential for long-term national development.
Bashir Ahmad expressed optimism that the ongoing policies will ultimately benefit Nigerians and contribute to sustainable growth, saying that Buhari’s legacy will continue to guide the country.
