Jigawa State Pilgrims to Begin Airlift to Saudi Arabia on June 3, 2024

Jigawa State Pilgrims welfare board says the airlift of this years intending pilgrims is to commence on Monday 3rd June 2024.

The Director General of the board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo disclosed this to Our Correspondent Usman Mohammed Zaria in Dutse.

He explained that the Intending Pilgrims from the State would be departing Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi International airport to Saudi Arabia aboard Max Air which is the official carrier to the State.

According to him, the Board has already secured and printed Visas of the Pilgrims.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo pointed out that the board had also completed necessary arrangements to airlift the Pilgrims to the holy land.

He urged the Pilgrims to always take instructions from their zonal officers of their respective Local Government areas.

He further explained that the Board had mapped out a strategy to ensure the security of it’s Pilgrims during camping exercise at fanisau in the state capital.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo also warned the pilgrims against carrying prohibited items in their hand luggage.

He noted that the pilgrims must avoid carrying sharp objects which include flammable items, blades and scissors in their hand luggage.

The Director General said the board had also warned the state pilgrims against carrying perfumes in cans, especially body spray.
