Civil-Military Relations, Essential For Credible Intelligence – Commandant AFCSC

Nigerians have been urged to key into efforts aimed at improving the security situation of the country.

Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Air Vice Marshal Emmanuel Wonah made the call shortly after assessing the performance of students of course 95 under Exercise UBIAK ISIN held at Jaji, Kaduna State.

Air Vice Marshal Emmanuel Wonah noted that the quest of securing Nigeria was a collective effort, hence, all hands must be on deck to actualize a peaceful, united and prosperous country.

He disclosed that the recent attacks on the college host community by terrorists informed the decision to leverage on non-kinetic approach to get credible intelligence for the betterment of the college and host community.

Speaking on Exercise UBIAK ISIN, the Commandant explained that it was an exercise designed for students of junior course to practicalise what they have learnt in class with a view to enhancing better performance in the field.

He pointed out that it was also an avenue to assess students’ performance aimed at adding value for a better security landscape in the country.

As part of efforts towards improving civil-military relations, relief materials were presented to residents of Anguwan Lauya, the host community of the college.

Some of the relief materials presented to the residents of the community included assorted bags of grains, mattresses, mosquito nets as well as a medical outreach programme.

Highpoint of the Exercise was a firepower demonstration, as well as search and rescue mission by some students of junior course 95.
