The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented certificates of return to president and vice-president-elect Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.
The certificate was presented to Tinubu by the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Tinubu and Shettima of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the recently concluded presidential election that was held on Saturday February 25, 2023.
In his acceptance speech, Tinubu who promised to be a servant and not a leader appealed to his fellow contestants to team up with him to build Nigeria.
He said education loan and credit facilities for Youth would be introduced adding that there would be no strike in nation’s tertiary institutions.
The presentation came a few hours after Tinubu was declared the winner of the Saturday, February 25 poll, garnering 8,794,726 votes to defeat his closest rival, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, who scored 6,984,520.
