Jigawa State Executive Council has approved five hundred million naira for the rehabilitation of Birnin Kudu- Nafara- Kadangare to Kwangwara road.
The State Commissioner of Information , Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Mamser disclosed this shortly after the council meeting chaired by Governor Badaru Abubakar at government house Dutse.
According to him, the contract was awarded to a company with completion period of 16 weeks.
Also, the Governor sworn in Alhassan Muhammad as the state commissioner of commerce and Atiku Hafizu Ringim as Special Adviser on public health.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Badaru Abubakar said the appointment was based on merit and commitment, and urged them to justify the confidence reposed on them.
Radio Nigeria reports that over two million naira was realized during the launching of the state armed forces rememberance appeal fund at government house.
The highest donation of one million naira came from the state government, two hundred thousand naira from the personal donation of the Governor, while his Deputy donated one hundred thousand naira.
The secretary to the state government donated thirty thousand naira, head of service also donated twenty thousand naira while members of the state executive council donated fifteen thousand naira each.
