OPHD, Police Synergize To End Banditry In Zamfara State

The Nigeria Police Force and Operation Hadarin Daji OPHD of the Defence headquarters have moved to renew efforts to end banditry and other sundry crimes in Zamfara State.

This was contained in a statement signed and made available to Radio Nigeria in Gusau by the police public relations officer (PPRO), SP Shehu Mohammed.

SP Shehu said the development followed a courtesy visit to the General officer Commanding GOC 8 Division Sokoto and Commander Operation Hadarin Daji OPHD Major General Uwen Bassey by the Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command, CP Kolo Yusuf.

CP Kolo Yusuf explained that the visit to the Commander of the Joint Task Force, known as Operation Hadarin Daji and also the GOC 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, Sokoto, Major General Uwen Bassey was to further restrengthen the working synergy for better result.

“The visit was part of CP Kolo’s effort to strengthen the Inter-agency working collaboration for effective service delivery in Zamfara State” the PPRO said.

According to him, the CP had commended the GOC for the good leadership which gave birth to effective cooperation and synergy among all the security agencies in Zamfara state.

During the visit, the CP witnessed the decoration of newly promoted officers of the Division.
