Christmas/New Year Celebrations Niger Police Command Deploys Massively ahead of Yuletide

Tactical and Area Commanders as well as
Divisional Police Officers in Niger state have been directed to deploy their men to public places worship and other recreation centres towards ensuring a hitch free Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Commissioner of Police in charge of Niger State Mr Ogundele Ayodeji gave the directive in a statement issued to Newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer DSP Wasiu Abiodun after a monthly conference with senior police officers in Minna.

The statement further enjoined officers to strictly comply with operation order drawn for the season and ensure high visibility policing across the highway in Niger State for adequate security of travellers and free flow of traffic for road users; in addition to township patrol and show of force to serve as deterrent for potential hoodlums.

According to him the massive deployment of police personnel and operational assets across the state is aimed at providing a water tide security before during and after the yuletide.

It however urged Nigerlites and Christian faithfuls to be law abiding and continue to support the police with adequate information towards ensuring a peaceful celebrations.

He also assured Nigerlites of the readiness of the officers and men of Niger state police command in ensuring the safety of their lives and properties.

Mr Ogundele Ayodeji wished all Nigerlites, residents and Christian faithful Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
