Tactical Operatives of the Zamfara State Police Command have rescued two Babies, ten women and two men who were kidnapped at Nasarawar Wanke and Rijiya villages of Gusau local government area.

In a statement signed and made available to journalists in Gusau, the Command ‘s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Mohammed Shehu who said, the victims were rescued at Kunchin Kalgo forest in Tsafe Local Government Areas of the state.

He explained that, on the 21st June, 2022 Police Tactical Operatives deployed along Kunchin Kalgo axis in collaboration with some individuals who partner with security agencies in restoring peace in the state, acted on credible intelligence and stormed a suspected bandits hideout which led to the rescue of the 14 Victims.

The PPRO added that, the Commissioner of Police CP Ayuba Elkana while handing over the rescued victims to their relatives, appreciates the government and people of the state for their continuous support and collaboration to the Police and assured of intensifying effort to safely rescue kidnapped victims and reunite them with their families.
