Former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has distributed Christmas Welfare Packages to Christian Communities in Zamfara State.
Presenting the gesture to the beneficiaries, the state APC Chairman of the Yari’s Camp, Lawal M Liman said, the former governor had been supporting Christians since 2011 to enable them celebrate the Yuletide period in a joyful way.
Lawal M Liman explained that, the gesture consists of 500 Bags of Rice, 15 Cows and One Million Naira Cash.
He noted that, CAN Received 400 Bags of Rice, 10 Cows and One Million Naira Cash; Igbo Wing of the APC, 40 Bags of Rice, 2 Cows; Igbo Progressives Forum, 40 bags of Rice, 2 Cows while Yoruba Community Received 20 bags of Rice and 1 Cow for the Christmas Celebrations.
Liman who was represented by the Secretary of the Party, Sani Musa Mafara called on the Christians to use the Christmas Period to pray for peace and Unity in the state and Country in General.
Receiving the Christmas welfare packages, on behalf of the Christians Community in the State, Reverend Father Iliya Ibrahim Tsiga commended the former governor for the welfare which according to hin they have been receiving from Yari since 2011 to date, assured judicious distribution of the gesture.
