National Directorate of Employment, NDE has reaffirmed commitment to train youths on skills Acquisition towards making them become self reliant.

Acting Director General of the Agency, Alhaji Abubakar Nuhu Fiko, stated this during the Recruitment and Orientation ceremony of 880 Trainees under the vocational Development Department VSD , held in Kano.

Abubakar Nuhu Fiko, represented by the chief vocational Development officer Alhaji Shitu Mohammad Abdullahi, said the orientation was aimed at acquainting the trainees on activities of the vocational Development skills department.

He said they concentrate on Domestic skills to enable trainees become self relient after their graduation.

The Acting Director General, explained that the traininng was for the duration of three months, with a stipend of two thousand naira monthly

He said the skills include Barbing,Tailoring, Hair dressing ,knitting among others.

In a Remark, NDE coordinator in Kano Alhaji Ilyasu Ahmad urged the trainees to utilise the Aportunity aimed at Achieving the set objectives.

Some of the beneficiaries Applauded the commitment of federal Government for initiating the program,geared towards making them become self relient.
