Kaduna State Government has named Muhammadu Sanusi, former Emir of Kano, as Chancellor of the Kaduna State University (KASU).
A statement by the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Media and Communication Mr. Muyiwa Adekeye says Sanusi succeeds the pioneer Chancellor, Malam Tagwai Sambo, the Chief of Moro’a, who was appointed in 2005.
According to the statement, Kaduna State Government has no doubt that as Chancellor, Muhammadu Sanusi, will provide symbolic and substantive leadership in raising the profile of KASU as an emerging centre of learning.
The statement explains that, Governor Nasir El-Rufai welcomes with gratitude the consent of Muhammadu Sanusi to serve as Chancellor of KASU and as Vice-Chairman of Kaduna State Investment and Promotion Agency- KADIPA.
The statement affirms that Muhammadu Sanusi will support and assist realization of the governance objectives of Kaduna State Government.
