The Nigerian Defence Academy says it will strengthen collaboration with the Nigerian Army Armored Corps in the training of cadets.
In a release made available to newsmen in Kaduna by the Academy’s public relations officer Major Abubakar Abdullahi said, Commandant of the Academy Major General Jamil Sarham stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to headquarters of the Armored Corps in Bauchi.
Major General Jamil Sarham explained that he was in Bauchi to inspect cadets’ tour to the corps, stressing that the Academy under his command has recently rejig cadets tours to involve operational areas, so as to enable them have a feel of the realities they are bound to face in the field after commissioning as officers.

In a remark, Commander Nigerian Army Armoured Corps, Major General James Komolafe described the new cadets tour initiative as a welcome development which will enhance cadets’operational efficiency after commission.
He assured the Commandant that the Armoured Corps will key into NDA’s transformation by deploying more armoured officers to serve as instructors to the Academy.
