Pastor Yohanna Commends SFCGN For Peace Building In Kaduna State

The Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria has visited an NGO Search for Common Ground Nigeria SFCGN, to strengthening relationships in peace-building in Kaduna State.

The President of the foundation, Pastor Yohanna Buru who led his team to the SFCGN office in Kaduna, commended the NGO for its vital role in educating women, traditional, and religious leaders in the state on early warning and response to conflicts.

Pastor Buru explained that, the purpose of the visit was to foster closer relationships that could enhance peace and stability in Kaduna state.

He also thanked the Project Manager of SFCGN for their efforts in training women, youth, and faith-based leaders on issues related to religious tolerance.

Pastor Yohanna Buru acknowledged the pivotal role of the Search for Common Ground Nigeria is playing in promoting peace, unity, and religious tolerance in the state.

Mr. Williams Ubimago who welcomed Pastor Buru and his team, affirmed the organisations readiness to collaborate with organizations working assiduously to promote peace for the advancement of Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole.

Mr. Ubimago informed his guests about the upcoming Kaduna Interfaith Dialogue workshop designed to bolstered the capacities of all faith-based organizations in the state on Freedom of Religious Belief FoRB and deliberate on ways to enhance peace and unity.

Also present during the visit were members of the Network of Peace Journalists NPJ by it Team Lead, Ibrahima Yakubu.

Malam Ibrahima Yakubu emphasized the need for Nigerian journalist to embrace Peace Journalism to safeguard peaceful coexistence among adherents of different faiths in the state.

He further applauded the efforts of Search for Common Ground in training women journalists on peace-building journalism in the state
