The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has approved the appointment of Barrister Nasiru Dembo Lere as his Senior Legislative Aide.
The appointment was conveyed in an official letter issued on behalf of the Clerk of the House and signed by the Secretary, Human Resources and Staff Development of the National Assembly Commission, Essien Eyo Essien.
According to the statement, the appointment takes immediate effect.
In a related development, the Lere Development Association (LDA) has congratulated Barrister Nasiru Dembo Lere on what it described as a remarkable milestone, wishing him continued success in service to the nation.
In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Sani Ahmed Lere, the association said the appointment reflects his dedication, competence, and commitment to public service.
The group urged him to deploy his wealth of experience in the discharge of his new responsibilities.
Until his appointment, Barrister Nasiru Dembo Lere served as President of the Lere Development Association and Principal Partner at Woodfield Legal, Abuja.
