President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mourned the death of the Emir of Zurmi in Zamfara State, Alhaji Bello Sulaiman, describing him as a courageous and respected traditional ruler.

In a condolence message, President Tinubu commiserated with the family of the late Emir, the Zurmi Emirate Council, the government and people of Zamfara State, as well as the traditional institution in Nigeria.

The late Sarkin Zamfaran Zurmi died on Monday, five years after ascending the throne.

President Tinubu said the traditional ruler provided wise and courageous leadership during a challenging period, particularly in the face of security concerns affecting the North-West.

The President prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late monarch, reward his good deeds with Aljannah Firdaus and grant his family and the people of Zurmi the strength to bear the loss.
