The First Lady of Zamfara State, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has commended members of the Zuru Emirate Progressive Association (ZEPA), Zamfara State Chapter, for promoting unity, love and peaceful coexistence.

The commendation was conveyed by a Permanent Member of the Teachers’ Service Board, Hajiya Luba Ammani, during the association’s Cultural Day and fundraising event held at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau.

Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal appreciated the women for supporting one another and fostering harmony among communities in the state. She described their effort as a reflection of compassion, cooperation and the strength of womanhood.

She assured the women of her continued support and encouraged them to remain united in contributing to peace and development across Zamfara. She also called on them to support the programmes of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration aimed at promoting progress and stability.

A statement by the Press Secretary, Office of the First Lady, Rabi Yusuf, said Hajiya Huriyya donated N1.5 million to the association to support its activities.

Responding, the Chairperson of the Association, Mrs Victoria Mathias Aniko Dabai, thanked the First Lady for her support and described her as a caring mother to women in the state. She pledged the association’s support for initiatives promoting peace and empowerment.
