Members of the Political class in Kwara state have been cautioned against politicizing the lingering security challenges in parts of the state .

The Oloro of Oro Kingdom in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Joel Titiloye, made the appeal in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Ilorin.

According to him the current wave of insecurity in southern and northern axis of the state calls for sober reflection, saying that stakeholders are expected to work with government to de-escalate and nip the issue in the bud.

The monarch expressed worry that some individuals were trying to make politics out of the disturbing situation that the insecurity has caused to local communities.

Oba Titiloye noted that the state government has shown commitment to rout out the criminal elements maiming, kidnapping for ransom and spilling innocent blood with support to the security personnel who are on the front line to end the menace.

He called for renewed vigour and commitment to stamp out the violent non-state actors.

The Traditional ruler appealed to residents of the state, particularly rural dwellers to volunteer timely information and intelligence that would help in dismantling criminals network before they carry out their evil plan.
